Suffolk Wedding Videographer

I first started filming things in 1986 when I picked up a camcorder to make a video to send home whilst on detachment with the RAF in the Falkland Islands

I have been a Professional Wedding Videographer for over 15 years now and I am recommended at a lot of local venues

I have filmed hundreds of Weddings and Elopements in the UK and Europe.

Why do I film Weddings?

Quite simply there is no better place to work

Capturing stories for couples gives me such satisfaction.

Where else are you surrounded by love, beauty and happiness every time you go to work?

Chippenham Park wedding videographer

How many Weddings do you film each year?

I aim to film around 25 weddings each year.

I usually close my diary when I get to this number.

But, you might be able to tempt me to add just one more wedding.

How will we receive our Wedding Videos?

I deliver your Wedding films using Mediazilla, which is rather like having your own personal Netflix with it's online Menu driven delivery where you can stream your videos on a smart TV, computer or phone or download them to a device. You can share the link with friends and family.

Do we need 2 Videographers?

I film around 75% of my weddings on my own, but sometimes having 2 videographers is necessary.

If I am filming bridal preparations, a second videographer will be with the Groom and groomsmen. They will also film for the rest of the day enabling us to capture a range of emotions during the ceremony and speeches

that might otherwise be missed.

When I am capturing your couple portrait shots, the second videographer will concentrate on filming your guests enjoying the drinks reception.

I recommend having the second videographer for larger weddings and church weddings and when your preparations are taking place away from the ceremony location.

How many hours do you stay for?

There are no set hours, I generally start around two hours before the ceremony until we have enough shots from the dance floor to make a great wedding film.

Extra days/hours can be added for things taking place later on in the evening such as Summer fireworks displays

Do we need to provide you with a meal?

It's not compulsory to provide a meal for us but of course we always appreciate being fed as it's a long day and bringing a packed lunch isn't always practical.

Having a hot suppliers meal saves us having to leave the venue during your wedding breakfast to find some food locally

Do you have insurance?

We are fully insured for public liability and our Drones We can provide a copy of the insurance for venues if they ask you about it.

We carry spare cameras, batteries and memory cards too.

How long does it take to edit our Wedding Videos?

We never rush the editing process and take a lot of care to create something that you will want to watch again and again, so we aim to provide your videos within 8-12 weeks after your wedding day.

Summer weddings will take the longest time to deliver because we are often out filming and away from the edit desk.

About Steve Hood

I like to film things as they happen, my films are intimate, personal and honest, capturing real emotions and smiles.

I Love cameras and I’m always buying the latest equipment, but good Wedding films are not about having the latest camera or drone, it is about people and their stories, so I try to capture the emotion of Weddings in a personal way.

I pride myself in guests being mostly unaware that I am filming the day.

I use small handheld cameras that are silent and I don’t use any lights.

I won’t pose you or direct you to do any acting, everything is filmed as it naturally happens.

In the main I will be dressed like a Wedding guest and might even be mistaken for one, which is nice because I get offered canapés and drinks.

During the ceremony and speeches I use tripods and discreet microphones.
